The Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016 is a critical topic for the UPSC Civil Services Examination, particularly under GS Paper II (Social Justice and Governance) . It replaced the PwD Act of 1995 to comply with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD). Key Highlights of the RPwD Act, 2016 1. India is the second largest country in the world in terms of population, so due to overpopulation on a particular land increases the slum area,lack of resources,unemployment,urbanisation . Some important measures can be suggested:- 1.providing well implemented employment to the rural people to overcome migration. 2.skillfull courses should be provided from school level so that new generation can create their own emploment. 3.rectapisim in rural areas. 4.risk taking factors for economy of india. 5.education should be focused not on subjective but based on employment generation. 6.awareness programmes should be organised to aware people about the government policies. 7.dearth of economy based policies.
