🌼 Amitabh Buddha🌼
🌷according to the scriptures of Mahayana Buddhisim it is also known as "Amuda or Amitayus".
🌷The word Amitabha formed by two words 1. "Amita" which means without bound or infinite and "Abha"which means light splender. therefore it all together becomes "He who posses light without bound".
🌷The "Amitayus" is formed by the amalgamation of "Amit" - infinite and "Ayus" that is Life❤️
🌷It is interpreted as "He whose life is boundless".
🌷The Chinese name for Amitabh is " Wuliangguang"
🌷However ,these names are not used to call "Amitabh Buddha".
🌷In tibbetteian , "Amitabh" is called as "od doag med"
opakme and for Amutayus , it's "tshe dpag med and Tsepakme.
🌷In pure land "Buddhism" , Amitabh is regarded as the principal
🌟48 vows means pure land "conditions that being have to follow" in order to get born in that pure land and also mentions about the beings if they would be reborn there.
🌟18 vows - prevelant mainly in China,Veitnam ,Korea and Japan . It mentions that any being calling upon "Amitabh" name even as few ten times will be guaranteed to have a birth in that "Pure land ".
🌟19 vows - Promises that if he along with other bodhi sattavas will appear before those who call upon him at the moment if death.
🌼 Important enlightenment techniques🌼
🧘 Visualization of the surrounding world as a paradise. It is believed that at the time of death if the person visualuses "Amitabh" in the heaven over over their head and reciet his name as a mantra and leave the body as a soul through the crown chakras then he can come to "Sukhavati" pure-land.
Fir overcoming our desires or self-fishness one should focus on "Amitabh" while medidating.
🧘🌼🌟The meditation mudra🌟🌼🧘
Amitabh is often depicted displaying the meditation mudra (gently folded over the lap with palms facing upward) or exposition mudra when shown seated.
🌼When standing, Amitabh is shown with the right hand raised with thumb and forefinger touching, and with left arm extended downward with thumb and forefinger touching.
🌼This mudra means that wisdom (raised hand) is accessible to even the lowest beings and Compassion (outstretched hand) is directed at the lowest beings.
🌼Amitabh is also portrayed with two disciples- Avalokitesvara on the right and Mahasthamaprapta on the left.
