The Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016 is a critical topic for the UPSC Civil Services Examination, particularly under GS Paper II (Social Justice and Governance) . It replaced the PwD Act of 1995 to comply with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD). Key Highlights of the RPwD Act, 2016 1. Ram Sutar:- passion creates history


when you are passionate about something with which you are lost in another world with which you can spend hours without any problem then you can create history with it. A man with a passion has proven that age is just a number and when you are fully involved in your work then age doesn't matter at all.
in the words of 94-year-old Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri recipient Sir Ram Vanji Sutar:-" Age is just a number, never stop growing, never stop creating".
Sir Ram Sutar is the man of his words and dream. the creator of 600 feet-tall statue encompassing an area of 20,000 square meters of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, also known as the Statue of Unity. he is also working on two important statues currently. one of Dr BR Ambedkar at Indu Mill in Mumbai which would be named as the "Statue of Equality"- this will celebrate the contribution of Dr Ambedkar in the field of social injustice. Sutar said the Ambedkar statue would be 350-feet tall, taller than the Statue of Liberty in the US.
Another structure that he is working on is Chhatrapati Shivaji statue in the Arabian Sea of Mumbai Coast. this structure would be 450 ft including 20 floors in the basement. he is also working on Shri Ram statue in Ayodhya, his first statue was of Mahatma Gandhi in1948. Altogether he made over 350 statues of Gandhi and one among them is inside the parliament complex this statue is of Mahatma Gandhi and this statue took the attention of PM Modi. he has recently inaugurated a three-day art exhibition titled 'Anugoonjh' that started at Jawahar Kala Kendra. Sutar is hailed as one of the best sculptors of India.he has built more than 8,000 sculptors till now and still working on some of the biggest projects.
